It’s time like this when I need a sad theme song (preferably by Deathcab for cutie or Duffy or maybe even Leona Lewis). I’m sitting here on a train with my laptop on my lap, writing a blog and listening to Leona Lewis. I know a laptop how awesome! Well not really I’ve had it for a while I just never take it to school, but I have it today because I went to the state library and studied. How nerdy of me. Well not really. But more about that later…
Now about my ever so eventful day, I had the day off because of the teacher strike, well I actually had the morning off because the strike was between 9:00 to 1:00. But since I had classes that I really did not want to attend and it was kind of pointless because both of the classes required computer usage and I could do that at the state library, where it was FREE! I caught the train to Melbourne Central and met Marla at Gloria Jean’s where we waited for Phoebe for aged. We didn’t actually go in to the library until 10:30-ish.
At the state library we first went up to the top level where it was really nice and quiet but the really bad thing is that they didn’t have a power point up there so we could only stay for about an hour. After wasting our laptop batteries (well not Marla’s since she now has an ipod touch that could connect to the internet anywhere!) we went to the Latrobe Reading Room to avoid the other school kids who were actually doing real work we accidentally wondered into the extra quiet area and found the power point wasn’t working there! So we finally settled on the Barry reading room, where we stayed for only 40 minutes because Marla had to go to school. After escorting Marla to school, we (me and Phoebe went for Agassi in Melbourne Central and had a lovely lunch. Afterwards we decided to burn the lunch off by walking around Myer looking at stuff and looking at how small some of the bras were. 10AA? Why do they even need bras?? And I needed to go to the perfume section to ask how much the 50ml Estee Launder Pleasure was and stray loads of Gucci by Gucci on myself and I managed to get some on Phoebe’s face (which she didn’t like)
We did that until we realized we we’re supposed to be doing work at the state library… Then I realized I really should get home because my mum wasn’t feeling well and I always feel guilty when my parents are sick at home and I’m out doing whatever and being so selfish.
So yep now I’m here looking all classy with my laptop! Well at least I got my English work done. But I was hoping to do my English, Geography and Speak Out (public speaking) homework done. I feel really bad that’s why I’m writing my blog on the train so when I get home I can do homework. I’m crossing my fingers that I do get my homework done.
