Lookin’ for specs.

Oh boy, buying frames for new glasses is so hard! As some of you might know on Monday my glasses snapped in half, don’t ask why… I don’t even know why. Also my eyesight isn’t as sharp as it use to be, so I’ve decided to get some new specs! Turns out the kind of glasses I wanted (black, full frame, designer logo on the side), doesn’t suit me (made my face look flatter than it already is). Obviously I was pretty upset and pessimistic when looking for other frames. I went to numerous optometrists and designer shops (Gucci, Chanel & Hugo Boss) and none suited me. Finally today me and my mum went to the Asian optometrist in Box Hill (by train mind you, dad took the car) and to my surprise I made a shortlist of glasses I like. One pair of white Ralph Laurens, one pair of stainless steel D&Gs and two pairs of black Miu Mius. It took me such a long time to decide because glasses aren’t like jewelry, bags or shoes, they don’t just last for a season or two, they have to last at least a year or two and they cost a few hundred dollars. This dilemma was new to me, since my aunt and uncle use to be optometrists and I got glasses for free and I usually got rare samples. After 2 hours of running to and fro two optometrist I finally decided to go with a black, thin rimmed, glasses with Miu Miu on the side. My mum was so glad since she was exhausted running around with me, so was I; it felt as if a giant brick has been lifted off me! But I shouldn’t get so excited since it will take 2 weeks for the prescriptions to be fitted in.  Anyway, here are some pictures I got because of my hype.
