Candy Underwear and Beige Linen

26 07 2008

You’re probably thinking “she’s going to …” Nope. Far, far, far from that. Yesterday I went shopping with my darling friend Phoebe, initially we just planed to go shoe shopping for Phoebe, she’s a bit of a virgin to heels , then I re-decorated my room and realized I needed some beige linen and sheets go with my new simpler décor, then last minute on Friday I decide I should buy a really inappropriate gift for Phoebe as a birthday present. Ahhh yes, that’s where the candy underwear comes in, I shared this with the birthday girl, in case someone was already buying her candy underwear (I was close, Lauren is buying Phoebe underwear).

So off we went, (after school of course), thank goodness we go to school in the city, saved so much time! We we’re at Melbourne Central by 3:45. Actually we went to Myer and David Jones first, as they do have the best shoes and underwear. We browsed and browsed through rows and rows of Stella Mccartney, Willow, La Perla, Pleasure State, until we realized how ridiculously expensive everything was, then we moved into Bendon, Bonds, and Elle Macpherson, I was after a corset that hid my winter flabs. It was a fruitless journey, hugely disappointing. –sigh-  then we went to the shoe section… again disappointing, like in devil wears Prada “I’ve seen all this before”.  As a last resort we went to ‘Bras n things’ and found exactly what we were after… candy bra! Yep, and that’s what Phoebe’s getting for her birthday. HA! Jack will enjoy it.

Phoebe enjoyed my very fast walking and ‘jabbering’, “Ohhh I love shopping with you, you just criticize everything, it’s hilarious!”

After shopping we went to my mum’s office in search of chocolate, they didn’t have any left, but they did have old jelly babies, because Phoebe and I were so hungry we practically pounced on the jelly babies. It was a lovely trip. Followed by some not so wanted shopping with mum but that’s another story.

PS. Don’t even mention the linen, who really buyes $300 sheets?
