Versace ss09

29 09 2008

It was so good I cried, or maybe it was hayfever? Versace never lets me down. This season was sexy, beautiful and wearable! I love the hearts made out of the zippers, and it was a great use of zippers. Donatella is so talented; she really knows how to make girls look sexy without looking slutty or trashy! I (zipper) heart Versace! Enjoy my extra packed collage!

Gucci ss09

29 09 2008

I love Gucci, always have, always will (I hope). This collection is fabulous! Safari chic with a touch of glamour and splashes of colour. So bold, so daring and so wearable and guess who opened the show?? None other than my favorite model Natasha Poly. I loved the pant suits in Purple, Blue and red,  and the short patterned dresses. But the shoes didn’t impress me too much, they were too bulky, too high, and not sexy enough.  Blahhhhh I’ll forgive Frida for that, she’s done so many good seasons of shoes already, anyway, enjoy my collage!

Dsquared2 ss09

29 09 2008

From one Fergie song to another…

If what I heard is right, Dean and Dan were inspired by Charlie’s angels (the old version of course!), and that means sex on legs. Well, isn’t Dsquared2 already sex on legs?? This collection was no different, fitted silhouette, strong colors, great denim and intricate details. This season the shoes were safer and none of the models planted their faces into the ground, but there’s only one problem, that problem is Karlie Kloss. Don’t get me wrong, I love the girl, I even defend her from the myriad of insults on forum, but she pouted like she was in the ‘pout-a-lympics’, it is such a bad look.

Dolce and Gabbana ss09

29 09 2008

Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and NaDonna. HAHA! No. Dolce was exciting! I loved it! They used this weird silk fabric that resembled men’s pajamas. Who would have thought hey? They used some fantastic shapes, circular sleeves and skirts and of course some fantastic ballgowns decorated with appliqué flowers!

This friend is forever

27 09 2008

I’m talking about quietmilk, we hung out yesterday at my house, watched cartoons, drew, mixed our names together (Biangela Yelencevski), talked, hit each other, fought with cushions and when all failed Bianca made a collage of all the fun we’ve had in the past 6 months.

Oh I love you Bianca

La Perla ss09

26 09 2008

I was so shocked when someone posted a picture of Olga Sherer on tFS and titled it “olga at La Perla”. I thought “that could not possibly be La Perla, they must have gotten it wrong”, but it turns out I was wrong the picture was indeed La Perla. I was expecting sexy, fitted, and very, very lacey, but La Perla ss09 was blouson, hippy, lacey… but worn lose and with gladiator shoes (eww)? Wow, where is the real La Perla and what have they done with it?

Prada ss09

26 09 2008

It hit my indecisive zone right in the center. I’m not saying it’s revoltingly disgusting, but I don’t understand it. Style.com said it has wearablity factor, I say not. Maybe the pieces worn separately can work but the care mid-drift thing just is a no go zone for anyone bigger than a size 8. But I really do like the rumpled fabric the brassieres are quite cute and the hair and makeup was toned down minus the big eyebrows (a big yip-py! For me)! At the end, this is an improvement from last season’s lace and has great editorial appeal.

Moschino ss09

26 09 2008

Fun! Fun! Fun! Moschino ss09 is so young, fresh, and most of all, fun! It’s like Alber Elbaz (designer of Lanvin) and Marc Jacobs had a baby, and that baby grew up in the circus. The outfits with the checks can only be described as ‘clown chic’. Enjoy!
