Now this is real retail therapy. Most girls I know who have obsessive shopping disorder/fashion fetish/retail issues also have stationary fetishes. There’s nothing I love more than spending an afternoon at Officeworks and walking through the many isles of stationary, folders and other rather useless things. And that’s exactly what me and my mum did this afternoon. I decided to get in before the ‘back to school rush’ begins. Well ok, so summer break hasn’t even started but still! I won’t be in Australia for most of it.
I love those small useless things that are overpriced. Like this set of beautiful sticky notes which was on sale for $6! $6! What a bargain, considering most of those ugly fluro things cost $5 a stack. This has 8 different types of sticky notes, varying in size and pattern! How awesomely useless is that?!
And not forgetting these beautiful maroon/purple fabricated folders, ok fine they were really expensive but they are so much better than the generic black or grey ones, and they kick my old ‘fruity’ (orange, purple, lime and pink) folder’s ass! Next to them was this beautiful metallic gold, wood grain print ‘thinner’ folder, perfect for electives or homework.
After years and years of buying notebooks for each subject I learnt my lesson. It is completely useless and adds extra bulk in your bag. So I bought two 5 subject notebooks and some loose leaf for good measure! And also another lesson I learnt is that usually in art and vis com you only use about 10 pages of the visual diary and the rest is left unused. So I bought two thinner, cheaper (not crap quality) cartridge pads, half the price. FAN-FRIGGIN’-TASTIC!
As I was heading towards the checkout I saw what I had always been lookig for, fluffy, novolty pens! I’m calling him Cecil! Phoebe, Marla and Bianca can expect different versions of Cecil for Christmas
I wore this comfy and warm outfit. Typical Melbourne weather, hot one day, freezing the next.

officeworks is the raddest shop ever.
I have a mega to the max stationary fetish. I spend so much in smiggle and officeworks. My mum hates it, but seriously, it is love =)

Honey nothing is useless when it comes to stationary! I am a list writing fiend, and love a good fresh notebook and well inked pen!
Mmm, beautiful stationary is key for me, after all I didn’t spend like 6 months perfecting calligraphy from those “Art Of Calligraphy” magazines to use crud stationary!
