Even more of a change.

Well, not only do I have bangs, I went ahead (puns!) and got about 2 inches chopped off and (goodness forbid) layers at the front. I look so friggin’ Asian!

Oh8!

2008 like all years has been a year of highs and lows.

This year I have learnt:

-          Mac.Rob isn’t so bad

-           That love is a powerful emotion, jealousy is a even more powerful one

-          Not to wear a black bra under a white dress, no matter how thick the material is

-          You can make someone like you (girl or boy), though sometimes you can bribe them for temporary affection

-          Not to ‘fall deeply in love’ with someone before you meet/ get to know them

-          To ignore ‘hate emails and comments’

-          Not to diet

-          Scoliosis is painful

-          Cherry juice is the best lip stain

-          Girl schools can be awful

-          To check that your skirt isn’t tucked into your tights before you leave the toilet cubicle

-          Procrastination is my worst habit

-          That the internet is a drug

-          Don’t buy swimsuits in a rush

This year I have done these rather memorable things:

-          Had my first fashion show

-          Met the director of Melbourne fashion week

-          Got my first pair of designer glasses

-          Started this blog

Next year I will:

-          Be a nicer person

-        Lose weight

-          Start selling my designs online

-          Enjoy my trip to china

-          Try harder at school

-          Not to impulse buy

-          Try and make at least 60% of my daily wardrobe

-          Be nice and not a totally stuck up bitch at ‘V.E.T fashion class’

-          Go to a blogger meet up

-          Hopefully get a cliché ‘Melbourne High boyfriend’ (it’s a part of the ‘Mac.Rob girl package’ right?)

-          Try and find a healthy balance between school and social life.

Talentless photographer + tale of two girls

So yesterday me, Bianca (quietmilk)and Lisa embarked on a journey… urh no. Bianca and Lisa are constantly being mistaken for sisters or even twins so they decided to do a photo shot type thing where they dressed the same, did the same make up and hair. Guess who was photographer? Me! HAHAHAHAHAHAH! My skills go as far as ’self timer’ and I have never used a SLR camera in my life, but I think they turned out pretty good. What do you think?

And bad news, my Internet drought came early. My computer caught a virus on Friday and my dad (god blessed me with a IT technician for a dad) fixed it but used up all our Internet usage. So now I’m at the library using the slow free Internet but I don’t know if I can do this everyday.

My new idol: Melanie Huynh

She just oozes style and chic-ness. I first got a glimpse of her on my friend Lisa’s myspace, and it wasn’t until last night when I had a thoroughread of my September French Vogue that I discovered her name was Melanie and she worked as a junior fashion editor there,I was immediatelydrawn to her style (not to mention she’s always with Carine and absorbing her goodness) and started googling her. It wasn’t long until I was reading her thread on TFS, and I did that until 1am. I am now obsessed with her and her killer legs, and now she’s pregnant?! WOW, she’s the chicest pregnant woman ever. I would love to her legs in my genes!

She, Carine (Roitfeld),Geraldine (Saglio) and  Julia (restoin-Roitfeld) make such a great posse.

OK, so I orginally made this dress for my mum but she didn’t like this one for some reason and so I’m now wearing it… I know it makes me look old but I love the shape and the velvet detail.

Mamma Mia

Today was soooo hectic I’m so glad to be sitting down right now.

This morning I got up at 8am to go to the boxing day sales, it was sooooo hot and crowded! I tried on things in the open public (rat pants and shiny skinny jeans are NOT FOR ME!) and tried on 12 pairs of louboutins (my said I could buy a pair if they were under $700) and the cheaper ones I didn’t like and the the ones I liked were too expensive. When we went back down to the cosmetics department it was so crowded we were pretty much going one step forward and two steps back.So me and mum turned to food, 40 minutes and $30 later we emerged out of Max Brenners, ready to vomit. 

(mum had crepes, I had a popsicle fondu)

Afterwards we rented Mamma Mia on DVD and I have to say, it’s pretty good, we sang a long to it and it’s so much better than being in a hot, stuffy department store.
