Dressing for Melbourne’s unpredictable weather

13 06 2009

Count yourselves lucky that I slipped and fell into a puddle this morning and got change out of what I was actually going to wear. I would have most likely gotten charged by the fashion police for “attempting to do smart casual but ends up looking like messy, Asian, of Ellen Degeneres” or “dressing under the influence, resulting in looking like bikie grandma”

My style sensory glands finally started working again at around 11 and I got re-dressed.

What a cliche title, but it’s exactly what I did. After braving the cold and my cold I went to school (even though it’s curriculum day) and handed in my art assignment, I met up with Marla to do some underwear shopping. Flipping through piles and piles of lacies and silkies we were hungry!!!! So we joined Bianca and Lisa at Grill’d for lunch, it was the first time Marla met Bianca and Lisa, it was wonderful, but things got stranger as some uninvited guests turned up and gave us all contact high. Let’s just say the rest of our afternoon was ‘hazy’. KIDDING!!!! We actually went to Max Brenners and gorged on chocolate desserts (well Lisa and Bianca did me and Marla had refreshing drinks, seriously when you’ve eaten a grilled burger, a drink is a better choice over brownies and waffles). For the next hour we had this conversation on repeat:

Lisaa: We should go to (insert boutique/shop), there’s a sale on.

Me: Hm yeah, I saw a nice (insert garment) there.

Bianca: Oh yeah! But I don’t want to get up (out of the chair).

Marla: Ew this drink tastes so weird. I’m going to return it.

So until we worked up the courage to get up out of the chair we took pictures of each other.

I went with the intention of getting some bangles or rings but wow were my hopes crushed… We licked our wounds a lovely hidden cafe, where were served cute coffees, read magazines and chatted endlessly.

Because of our hectic exam schedules at school, it was so nice to have a laid back, relaxed day.IMG_0132 copy
