Sewing and designing just gives me the greatest joy. Even with a fever of 38.3*C I still managed to finish my math, review some French, write a 900 word piece on ‘Sexism in the workplace’, design and make my mum’s ‘librarian skirt’ and have enough time and energy left over to make a headband for myself. Even though I felt as if my head was going to just snap and fall off my neck, I had the Codral ’soldier on’ jingle stuck in my head and it was my mantra for the weekend (and today).
These aren’t my most exciting pieces but the skirt was hand hemmed and fully lined (I’m usually far to impatient to line a simple skirt like that.) And how ‘Blair Waldorf’ is that head band? I think I might make a few in different colours just like my ‘Prada knot’ headbands (which I made but never wear because I always forget about accessorising)
