A friend to all is a friend to none

That’s what I’ve learnt this week. Although you try and try to please everybody, you can’t make someone like you or sometimes you just drift a part. So, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. There’s nothing better than spending a day with your friends, laughing uncontrollably down the street, eating real Italian food at Pellegrinis, and spending hours at the bead shop to make you forget about the horrid week you’ve had. It’s probably not very interesting giving you a play by play so let the picture speak a thousand words.
It’s probably been ages since I’ve worn flats on a weekend, and it felt weird, not hearing that ‘click click’ when you walk down the street (or have blisters when you get home).

T-shirt: Giordano
Black blazer: Lovelygirl
Floral skirt: My own design
Tights: Lavante
Bow flats: Joy&Happiness
Clutch bag: My mum’s/vintage(?)
Velvet headband: My own design
Bauble necklack: China
“Boredom is talent wasted” I saw this on a motivational website and immediately motivated me, so I made some ear rings from the trinkets I picked up from the bead shop. I’ve never really been an ‘earring’ person, I mainly stick to studs and pearls but I just couldn’t resist these adorable little cuties.

Also, here’s a little teaser of some of the headbands you’ll see in the coming weeks:

How was your weekend dears?

Nawww, that’s cute! And so is your outfit, the flats look perfect, it’s good to know you’re not some wunderkind who only wears heels and GET BLISTERS too!
The earings are beautiful, especially the leaf, are you gonna sell them? Looking forward to seeing the headbands complete. The beige one’s quite stunning already.

WTF that little icon is horrible, can you change it?
Those flats are adorable! Yes, make friends with those who like you just the way you are, invest more time with them.
mmmm. nice flats. i really like your whole outfit, i think it all matches well together.
very stylish.
and earring are pretty cute.
hehehe, i just got your comment on my blog!
D
that’s alright, love.
i’m actually in year 11… but i guess my talk of SACs and stuff made it seem i’m in year 12.
i don’t really know what happened, but was it something about the “gossip girl” dress up day last week the year 12s had? :/
it must suck to have the year 12s “shun” you… i guess they overreacted?
it’ll probably be forgotten soon enough!
see you around at school,
x michelle
Very nice. When you say it’s your own design, does that mean you did the pattern and sewed it? That’s pretty good. Lavante tights are the best, Satin opaque are the best Jonathan Ashton is quite an innovative brand too. Your blog’s a good read, very interesting.
-Carly.
Looks like you had a busy weekend lovely, just like I did. I saw a movie, caught up with friends, did groceries and some clothes shopping, went to a protest BBQ and on a date… all sorts of exciting things.
I love your ensemble, it’s the perfect combination of dressy and casual.
Xx
