Ahh it’s that time of the year again, Melbourne Cup day! An utterly pointless but very well loved public holiday to watch horse racing (well they do call it “The race that stops a nation”)! Usually we get down to nature up in the Dandenong ranges but since we couldn’t take a 4 day weekend we had to alter our plans a bit. We first went for yum cha and then had a relaxing afternoon at the tranquil Fitzroy gardens.
Black dress (worn as blouse): My own design
Vintage garden floral skirt: My own design
Velvet headband: My own design
Tan leather bag: Prada
Black and gold sunglasses: No brand bargain store grab
Black flats: Joy&Happiness
Yellow wedges (worn in 1st pictures, had to take them off because I had some horrid blisters): China
I must admit the weather wasn’t tip top, the sun couldn’t make up its mind and the winds were a tad temperamental. But we had a blast anyway!
Congratulations to everyone who bet on Shocking or anyone who won anything! Hope you all had a lovely day!

Hey I think I saw you today, I was also at the Fitzroy gardens, you were walking up near the cafe I was sitting on the grass. Anyway, less stalkery stuff you looked fantastic! I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, wasn’t sure if it was 100% you because you had the sunglasses on. Now I know it is haha.
Yes, the fabulous skirt makes another appearance. LOVES IT! You work them sunnies too bad you can’t see when your wearing them

just noticed if I change my email the picture’s different.
wow, i think it’s amazing how most of your outfit is designed/made by you…
i would love to make my own piece of clothing one day.
So I see you’re jumping on the inane supre/dotti/sportsgirl bandwagon of calling things that aren’t vintage but are inspired by the past “vintage.”
Honey, if you made it, it’s not vintage.
Would you mind?
@anon I am deeply insulted you related any of my designs to “supre/dotti/sports girl” ‘Honey”, “vintage green floral” was the name of the fabric.
@michelle Thanks, one day soo hopefully
@Ellisa yeah, you’re now a suss looking pink star. I am hereby giving you permission to change your email until you find the right picture (but I’m not holding by breath since they’re all pretty ugly). Thanks, nahh I couldn’t see hahahah xx
@Rosie really? Like I said I couldn’t actually see if I had my sunnies on, I’m as blind as a bat. HAHA. thanks, next time don’t hesitate to say hey.
Gorgeous outfit, my dear, you look lovely. Adorable skirt too!
@Erinna Thanks
You design your own clothes?! Very cool. I wish I could.
You look lovely! True the weather wasn’t great, but fun nonetheless

Thanks for the welcome back!
Looking gorgeous as always. Dress as a blouse – why can’t I think of things like that on my own?! You’re working the mini, your legs look super long
As always I’m in awe that these are your own designs…as is a certain jealous “anon” commenter I think! Tragic internet trolls always give the best backhanded compliments, poor souls!
Have a fabby weekend gorgeous girl <3 xxx
@Coco Thanks
@Friends in Fashion Thanks.

angela I am actually IN LOVE with your clothes. It’s incredible that you design and make these by yourself. Especially your skirts.
Being completely serious here, can I buy them? they’re absolutely gorgeous.
