Well hello

Hello my darling readers, I know I promised more posts since I’m on holidays but my holiday plans have pretty much all been cancelled since I now work from 9-5 (and sometimes later!) But I have some fabulous news! As you may have noticed, my photos’ quality has seriously declined during the last month or two, that’s because  I dropped it once (ok, twice, fine, SEVERAL TIMES!) and once every few shoots the screen turns purple (but I do my usual ‘hit-it-until-it-works-again’ trick and it usually works. One of my mum’s friends (who reads my blog HEY SABRINA! THANKS! ) noticed and bought me a Nikon Coolpix digicam. Long story short, after debating and contemplating we exchanged it for a Nikon D3000 DSLR instead. I’ve wanted a DSLR ever since I got word that they existed (yeah I was 13), but I have never taken a photography class in my whole life. The only ones I’ve ever come in contact with are Bianca’s and Marla’s DSLRs, so needless to say I’m a newbie to the world of DSLRs, but I did know when used correctly they produced marvellous and high quality pictures! To be honest I really need a lesson or two on how to use DSLRs since it took me a little over 10 minutes to figure out how to use them and then, I summoned my dad to help me. Lucky for me, dad use to be quite the photography fanatic, but sadly he hasn’t stopped talking about it ever since.

I really liked this picture, for some absurd reason. Probably because it was the only self timer picture that focused properly. Like I said, STILL LEARNING!

I gave up and decided to take my outfit picture with my old Digicam before it got too dark and I had to use the flash.

Chanel Pre-fall ’10

Monsieur Lagerfeld loves to take his ‘in between’ season shows all around the world.  From Moscow, London, Miami to  Venice Lido. ASIAN PRIDE TIME!!!!!!!!! Ahahah, I was born in Nanjing which is a stone’s throw away from Shanghai (ok, about 4-5 hours drive) and I had a ‘awwww’ moment when I heard that Karl was going to show the pre-fall collection in Shanghai. Much to my disappointment, this collection was quite boring. There were no innovative ideas, styling or anything eye-catching. But I’m glad he didn’t go all out and do a line of Chanel qipaos (seriously, very few people can actually pull it off) and disappointed there weren’t any silk embroidered shoes or 2.55 bags.

HUZZAH! It’s the holidays!

My oh my has this year gone fast! Honestly, this [school] year has gone by in a blink of the eye. Heading into VCE [last 2 years of high school] next year I’ve once again  been buried under a massive pile of VCE prep work. But, it’s ok because they’re mostly for subjects I like. freight not, I will be posting heaps, I’ve got quite a few things lined up already and since I won’t be trapped in my school uniform I will be doing many more outfit posts, starting today!

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, me, wearing pants! In fact I haven’t worn pants since JUNE! I mean, I wear pants to the gym and during PE at school (actually I wear netball skirts a lot too HAHA).

My usual photo wall has been taken over by christmas gifts and presents so I have to use another wall and I’m not so good with adjusting the exposure and focus settings [note the fuzzy 2nd photo] but hopefully I either get my wall back soon or I work out a suitable setting.

PS. How much ankle? How much to crop? How many folds?! See, in the first picture I showed about 2-3 inches and in the 2nd I pulled my pants up a little bit more and cropped it a little more. What do you think? More or less ankle?
