Hello twenty ten!

January 3, 2010 § 15 Comments

I rang in the new decade with my friends Bianca and Lisa. We had an absolute blast, starting off with dinner at Meshiya (actually it started off with running a km in searing hot weather wearing heels, only just making it onto the train and then being forced off it because of an air-con malfunction, but hey! POSITIVES!), a contemplative cab ride about going to the The Salty Dog (ended up with “YES! Let’s go!” But it was closed, HA!) then, sing (midnight rendition of Taylor Swift’s Fifteen anyone?) and dancing our way ’til 40 seconds until 2010.

Yes, that was my christmas present…

One of my favourite pictures of the night

Probably the worst attempt at covering up my face, ever. I don’t think it crossed my mine that you can see through glass then.

Clink!

Today(YAY! I finally got the hang of the self timer/focus on my DSLR, what a difference!):

Top: Belle du jour
Skirt: My own design
Belt: Thrifted
Cardigan: My mum’s
Necklace: China
Shoes: Tony Bianco

Hope you had a fabulous NYE!

PS. Thanks lisa for the photos!

    Tehehe “Bell Du Jour”
I love the NYE photos and that you’ve managed to master self timer. Can you please teach me how to use my camera now?

  • HBTN says:

    tres, tres tres chic !.

I love the sixties inspired skirt, plus the white peepers take the outfit from ‘pretty cool’ to a new level of super styled chic! xx

  • amie says:

happy new year angela! is that melbourne central in the first pic?
i spent a low-key nye with a group of friends at an apartment in the city, in the end we realised we couldn’t see the fireworks from our window! fail! but then champers was had and all was good :D

re: self timer and focus? maybe you should get one of those cable remotes for your dslr (like 4thandbleekeragency does-you can see her remote in all her shots), that way you can refocus the cam from where you’re standing?

Aww looks like you had such a great time! I spent the night drinking coke and watching the music thing on channel 9 ha, boring!

Love the outfit and the lighting in that picture of you at a trainstation (me and my attention to detail) LOL Vodka Cruiser for christmas ?

You look uber fierce in the last picture, the skirt is just gorgeous. “midnight rendition of Taylor Swift’s Fifteen anyone” HA! HA! I love that song, and Taylor swift.

ok, so as someone who has walked down the Melbourne High path (albeit 13 years ago – did I say that??) I happily recommend it. Stay away from any suspicious private school boys from a college named after a spirti/old person’s biscuit (can testify to this, too). I hear St Kev’s is not too bad, nor is Wesley – just down the road ;) -Good luck & post once it happens!

  • You officially have the smallest waist in the world!
    Great outfit, as always.

Love the NYE pics, especially the one of you behind the glass. Makes me think of ostriches and the way they stick their heads in the sand! So cute :)

I think I recognise the locale of some of those pics, hee hee :)

@HBTN thanks never though of it as 60s inspired ahha, but thanks anyway. Oh and the Melb High Path? I’ll take on that advice, when I need it… Hopefully soon *cough* Oh Wesley guys are cute but they come with such reputation…

  • Angela See, Angela Blog says:

@amie thanks for the camera advice and nop it’s not Melb Central-we dined near QV so we went there for the Dan Murphy’s haha…

  • Angela See, Angela Blog says:

@Ellisa I watched it too, well it was on mute while we listened to Lisa’s Ipod… And yes, cruiser for christmas, my first actually.

  • Angela See, Angela Blog says:

@Over the moon Thanks. T-Swifty’s gorgeous and 15′s one of my fav songs

  • Angela See, Angela Blog says:

@Porcelain Blonde oh stop it I do not have the smallest waist! It’s just a very well styled outfit and a good angle, that’s all. AHHAHA ostrich?? The thing is I really cannot recall why I had my glass in my face for like 90% of the pictures… well not the ones of us picking up peas off the groud but that’s a story for another day LOL!

the location? I thought you might *wink*
    xx

  • Grant says:

Loving today’s ensemble Angela darling, very nice indeed!

Looks like you had a lovely New Year’s Eve – have you used a special filter on these images or is that just the way they turned out? In any event I love the way they look!

    Xx

  • hope everyone had a rockin new years

Leave a little love...
