Alexander Wang FW10

I had high expectations for Wang ( this is especially for you marla/muchie ” WOW WOW IT’S WANG”). After learning to love the ways of Alexander and his ‘girls’ I was ready for a spectacularly mind blowing collection packed with “WOW WOW IT’S WANG” (for those who don’t know, net-a-porter.com had that title splashed out on their homepage and coincidentally Marla walked past and said “What kind of Wang?”) and sadly I want left in a puddle of sweat, nervous, confused, scared sweat… I did not understand the intersection of office wear and underwear, the pinstripes mixed with lace, weird bootleg sock/pant type things and the dissected blazers. But I loved the girlie draped, pleated dresses and I totally would dig the shoes/boots if I had the legs. Oh and I would like to praise the casting person/team, Natalia Vodianova opened and closed, all the classic ‘Wang girls’ were there; Natasha Poly, Liu Wen, Aggy D and Anja Rubik!
5.5/10

I loved the idea of deconstruction of blazer in skirts and belts … but overall, I think this Wang’s show a little disappointing.
The draped is cool too =)
*gasp” I like it… but then again, it’s not very silhouette friendly for normal women.
One day I dream of being a Wang Girl. I think I may already be halfway there…
