Side plait and the tights were plaid

One hectic week down, one more to go! This week I’ve done 2 math exams, had a run in with tonsillitis, suffered from severe Gossip Girl withdraws and wrapped it all up some down time with Lisa on friday night (in uniform, so it was pretty bland). Next week I’ve got one art folio due in, an English Oral, Vis Comm project, Fashion history paper and a french written SAC! Luckily I’ve got a week off the week after, 2 more weeks of school and then it’s the holidays! YAYYYY!

Wedding bells
May 19, 2010 § 3 Comments
A few months ago I for lack of better words,’reported’ (I don’t report here…) that Lara Stone and David Walliams were getting hitched! And they’ve done it! I mean, I’m not a wedding expect (honestly, I’m not- I’ve never ‘envisioned’ my wedding or whatever like other little girls might) but isn’t 4 months a little short for wedding planning? But it was a very grand wedding none the less; well you’d hope so for a reported £80,000! Lara wore a custom £30,000, white, lace, gown edged with gold and chain embroidery by Riccardo Tisci with a square neckline that best shows off those… uh boobs. The wedding at the Claridges Hotel was attended by many Britlebrities that I have never heard of (except for Lily Donaldson, Russell Brand and Tom Ford). The event was also a booze free one, due to Lara being an ex alcoholic and all. At the reception David donned a classic black suit and Lara a not so classic gold, mini that again, best shows of her assets. Congratulations and please, please let this last!

3 items, 3 looks, 3 days

I, like most bloggers, LOVE a challange. 3 of my favourite items in my wardrobe; opaques, lace sleeve & back top and Nine West booties, worn 3 ways. Simple really, or not!
Day 1: A relaxed, fun, (s0mewhat) colourful look.
Made the skirt and chain belt, bracelets and beret from ebay, lovely girl blazer, Prada bag.
Day2: A night out (eventhough the plans fell through… why waste a good outfit pic?)
Alexia Admor dress, online blazer, thrifted belt, mum’s Birkin, made the lace bow.
Day3: This has more of an edge but the skirt’s a nice splash of colour and I haven’t worn these gloves in ages!!
The lace top is reversed and worn with a black singlet, skirt and bow of my own design, vintage bag and belt, Ports gloves, Funqi necklace.

Scarf top: Scop? Toarf?
May 6, 2010 § 6 Comments
Jersey has officially replaced silk dupioni as my favourite fabric. Honestly, I love it so much! Know what else I love? Scarves! So I thought hey why not combine the two? I’ve always had a thing for those scarf/wrap cardigans but they are always so big and chunky I drown in them. After some brainstorming and draping I finally set out to make a scarf top with ruffle sleeves.

I made it so it can be worn several ways.
Tie neck
Faux cowl neck
Scarf neck
Twist front
Possibilities are endless…
It turned out perfect, just not for me so I gave it to my mum like any budding designer would!
