Miu Miu fw10: oh how it grew on me

When I first saw this collection I may have died a little on the inside; the bright colours, thick, stiff fabrics, kitten heels and bright eyeliner made me cringe, but after seeing the campaign images on TFS last night, somehow changed my view (most probably the styling, Joe McKenna did a great job). The girls compliment each other so well(even dispite my dislike for Lindsey), in most group campaigns theres usually always one girl that stands out a little more than the others. The kitten heels only made one appearance too. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott did such a good job!

I think I’ve found my next pair of white glasses!

Winter Favourites

Every once in a while I like to peer into storage and see if there’s anything I would throw out or bring back into my daily repertoire. I rediscovered my black fleece cape, purple jacket, cork heeled patent slingbacks, mustard dress and leaf print skirt. All of which I wore heaps during last winter (especially the mustard dress, I may only have a few posts of it but wow, I wore it nearly every second day!) I decided to bring them all back, mixed them up with some new accessories and designs.

More than a year ago I made a dress very similar to this about a year ago in green but never wore it because it didn’t fit very well and the green was rather unflattering and had been meaning to make another one, but it was low on my to do list and didn’t see it until a week ago (oops). So I altered the pattern (less darts, higher neckline, lower back, straight skirt instead of flared skirt), added a bow and used a fabric with more stretch. Et voila!
