LBD

July 10, 2010 § 12 Comments

More than a year ago I made a dress very similar to this about a year ago in green but never wore it because it didn’t fit very well and the green was rather unflattering and had been meaning to make another one, but it was low on my to do list and didn’t see it until a week ago (oops). So I altered the pattern (less darts, higher neckline, lower back, straight skirt instead of flared skirt), added a bow and used a fabric with more stretch. Et voila!

PS. The lining is polka dot ;)

PPS. Sorry for my little unannounced hiatus. I actually have a lot to post but not enough time!

Darling I was so pleased to get a comment from you, I’ve been quitely reading your blog for ages now and I admire your tallent and the beautiful clothes you create so much! You’ve not yet made a piece that I wouldn’t want to wear, so I’m hoping that at some point your clothes will be available for purchase either online or in a boutique because they are just FABULOUS!
This LBD I love to bits, it is so tasteful, classic and the shape is just beautiful, if Holly Golightly were real this is what she would have in her wardrobe :)
