Tough but sweet

I’ve lost the remote to my Nikon, which makes outfit photos 1000x longer to take, how did I use to function without one?! Guess we’ll have to make do with over exposed and out of focus photos for a while…Colour block blouse: My own design Black mid-length skirt: My own design Jacket: Huckabees Jewelry: Gifted, eBay, My own design Studded pumps: Louboutin
Fingers crossed I find my remote soon! I have so many new designs to show!

PS. 600th post! Wooh!!
PPS. I got into Interior Architecture at Monash University so I think I’m heading down that lane, not exactly my utmost ultimate dream (fashion), nor a typical ‘make-your-asian-parents-proud’ Commerce at Melbourne U, but still a really great course and one I’ll be going into with a very open heart(and brain)! Any Monash readers?

How do you do? Scarves that is….

February 26, 2011 § 24 Comments

Do you think of them as just a piece of clothing to keep you warm? Or a vital accessory? I LOVE scarves! They are to me what necklaces are for some people. You know, those necklace people? Yeah, you do. Scarves are so handy, they can be worn in your hair, on your neck, wrist, bag, waist basically everywhere! They can add a splash of colour to a boring outfit, fix bad hair days, and if you’re Serena Van  Der Woodsen, they can keep you alive! You know, if you have a compulsive need to always show your legs, no matter how cold or inappropriate, so you wear a scarf to cover your neck (not chest though, goodness forbid no one sees bustage) to compensate!Sequin shouldered top: Lovelygirl

PS. BTW! I turned 17 last week! Wohh, nahhh, I’m not a big birthday person, I hate knowing that soon I’ll be 18 and I’ll be faced with the responsibility of things like a real bank card, being able to drive and being an adult…

“oh, I made this”

December 16, 2010 § 28 Comments

For me, that is my favourite thing to say when discribing my outfit. Filled with pride, telling people that I designed or made something just makes it so much more awesome than saying it’s bought (whether it’s $10000 or $1)! I’ve been slack with outfit posts not because I’ve been walking around in my nudie pants but because I’ve been having problems with my camera SD card and it persists on needing to be formatted, flushing out all its contents. Incredibly annoying and excruciating when I’ve just taken heaps of pictures! Fortunately over the last month I’ve gathered enough for a post.Blouse: Bardot

Snake Charmer

October 24, 2010 § 20 Comments

Just a quick post before I go back to my exam revision coma! Check out this new snake ring I picked up on Saturday! Can you actually believe it’s from Prouds? That and Michael Hill’s are my jewellery go-to-stores, I know, some jewellery snobs might turn their noses up at anything other than Tiffany’s or Bulgari but I’m shoddy when it comes to precious jewellery, I’ve lost countless rings, broke too many watches (including my Gucci Signoria). It’s been a sunny, spring week in Melbourne and I’m actually embracing it. I’ve been wearing some of my new designs with trusty, old favourites.Bow back dress: My own design

Dressing with a colour theme

October 7, 2010 § 14 Comments

I did it, 4 days of colour themes before reverting back to school uniform, I was going to do 5 days (red on wednesday) but it got unseasonably cold and I had a photoshoot where I needed to be comfortable + warm and since I don’t own any red jackets I didn’t risk freezing!
Day 1. Pink , OK, I’m cheating a little the dress is white with pink flowers but I just wanted to wear it so much! I haven’t worn it since I made it this time last year, and since it was such a lovely day, I decided to whip it out.Dress: My Own design
Cardigan: MNG
Peeptoes: Tony Bianco
Bag: Mum’s
Bauble bracelet + Bangles: Gifted
Belt: Mum’s
Glasses: Bargain store
Headband flower: My own design
Day 2. Blue, ahhh this was a fun one, I have a few blue garments but I had to make sure they didn’t clash. The blazer is also a very un-worn item, due to the fact it creases far to easily for my liking and it’s a bit small but I had no hesitation wearing it for this.Blazer: Emerge
Top: Lovelygirl
Skirt: My own design
Bag: Prada
Scarf: Borrowed (there are Hs all over it but I don’t know if it’s Hermes)
Shoes: Christian Louboutins
Watch: Online
Day 3. Gray, well, I wasn’t going to do gray since it’s something I do accidentally from time to time anyway but the weather was a bit :S and I found this dress which I made a while ago and haven’t worn! I couldn’t help but add a tiny splash of colour with the watch (ok, fine you got me, I wouldn’t do that, I wore gray nail polish just for a day for this! But this was the only watch I could get while in a rush that day) Dress: My own design
Jacket: Borrowed
Necklace: Gift
Watch: Ebay
Tights: Ambra
Shoes: RMK
Day 4. Green, I saved green for today because it was perfect for a tea party! And also this is one of my all time favourite dresses -probably because it was the first lined dress I made and I drafted up the pattern all by my 14 year old self-.Dress: My own design
Cardigan: Capture
Shoes: Sogui Eli Giorgia
Bag: Vintage
Scarf: Borrowed
Headband: My own design
Ring: My own design
Watches and bangles: Online
Hope I’ve inspired you to try this sometime too!

HUZZAH! It’s the holidays!

December 4, 2009 § 10 Comments

My oh my has this year gone fast! Honestly, this [school] year has gone by in a blink of the eye. Heading into VCE [last 2 years of high school] next year I’ve once again  been buried under a massive pile of VCE prep work. But, it’s ok because they’re mostly for subjects I like. freight not, I will be posting heaps, I’ve got quite a few things lined up already and since I won’t be trapped in my school uniform I will be doing many more outfit posts, starting today!

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, me, wearing pants! In fact I haven’t worn pants since JUNE! I mean, I wear pants to the gym and during PE at school (actually I wear netball skirts a lot too HAHA).

T-shirt: Giordano

Pants: DKNY

Pumps: Christian Louboutin

Clutch: no idea, mum’s

Cape: My own design

Pear bracelet and necklace: My own design

Sunglasses: Bargain store

My usual photo wall has been taken over by christmas gifts and presents so I have to use another wall and I’m not so good with adjusting the exposure and focus settings [note the fuzzy 2nd photo] but hopefully I either get my wall back soon or I work out a suitable setting.

PS. How much ankle? How much to crop? How many folds?! See, in the first picture I showed about 2-3 inches and in the 2nd I pulled my pants up a little bit more and cropped it a little more. What do you think? More or less ankle?

Where Am I?
