Graduate
November 2, 2011 § 5 Comments
Guess what? I’ve officially graduated!
My school does things a little differently and we get our certificates at Valedictory before we sit our final exams since we’ve passed our School Assessed Course work we’ve all technically passed (also we’ve theorised it’s partly so we’re not distracted by the hard to ignore thought of “what do I wear?”). It was a gorgeous night where we all reflected on the years past and celebrated!
With my mum
Confused a lot of people with my dress who thought the front of my dress was just glued on. Hehe

To class of 2011,
You are all amazing, thank you for the memories and from the wise wise mouth of Taylor Swift:
Long live all the mountains we moved
I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you
I was screaming, long live the look on your face
And bring on all the pretenders, one day we will be remembered
Hold on to spinning around
Confetti falls to the ground
May these memories break or fall
And you take a moment
Promise me this
That you’ll stand by me forever
But if God forbid fate should step in
And force us into a goodbye
If you have children someday
When they point to the pictures
Please tell them my name
Tell them how the crowds went wild
Tell them how I hope they shine

Pocketto Launch and some outfits
September 3, 2011 § 6 Comments
Last week I was lucky enough to attend the launch of Pocketto mag-the actual hard cover, IN YOUR HANDS version at No Vacancy, it was lovely to see Emma and Amie again (I helped out with a shoot a while ago) and it was a great chance to support another young’n
. Emma’s the same age as me (I think) and it’s so great to see how far she’s come ever since meeting her at a blog meet up wayyyy back. It was a great evening- getting to flip through the mag, while having a cider and listening to the fantastic music (seriously, kudos to whomever made the playlist-it was really hard not to refrain from dancing to the XX).
I brought along some friends(well, mutual friends of Emma and I) We had some time to blow between school and the launch so we headed up to Harvey Norman where I gazed longingly at the bedside table/tallboy set I’ve been after for ages.
Lovely to bump into Lady Melbourne again and finally met Matt from Style Tyrant (really should’ve gotten a picture) also caught up with Julie Ta from milk carton designs.
I wore my new inkblot print skirt which I made the night before (I was just so in love with the print, I just HAD to make it to wear it that night)

To our dismay, our teacher didn’t get it-we had to purposefully line up in a row for the effect to be fully appreciated (and we also forgot to take a picture!). I was teal

Hope everyone’s had a great holiday and gah! It’s 2011 already, far out, time flies whether you’re having fun or not! Not really sure if I enjoyed my little mini break from blogging, though not having to worry about taking my pictures at the right time so the lighting is right and if I can wear my shoes for long enough to be able to call it a part of my ‘outfit’? That, I have enjoyed. I’ve had a fabulous holiday season, for Christmas Day we had a beach side picnic, though after boasting to all my northern hemispherian friends that we always a have really hot sunny Christmas and I think I jinxed it, it was overcast and uh… uncharacteristicly cold! Afterwards we went to Arthur’s seat look out and enjoyed some rather foggy views. NYE was a quiet occasion involving mixing sparkling and slushies, fireworks and ping pong. And you might be surprised (or not) to hear I bought nothing on Boxing Day, except for groceries! I’m finally making my way through my stack of books. Using my usual method of 2 real books and one trashy chic lit, I’ve devoured ‘The Help’, ‘Peyton Place’, ‘Roll of thunder hear my cry’, a few art and english language books, ‘Watermelon’ and now I’m gnawing my way through ‘Unsticky’ a really awesome fashion chic lit. But next up I’m breaking my rule and reading my way through all the Tasmina Perry. Anyway! Outfits, pictures and all things that interest you peeps!

Dressing with a colour theme
October 7, 2010 § 14 Comments
I did it, 4 days of colour themes before reverting back to school uniform, I was going to do 5 days (red on wednesday) but it got unseasonably cold and I had a photoshoot where I needed to be comfortable + warm and since I don’t own any red jackets I didn’t risk freezing!
Day 1. Pink , OK, I’m cheating a little the dress is white with pink flowers but I just wanted to wear it so much! I haven’t worn it since I made it this time last year, and since it was such a lovely day, I decided to whip it out.
Dress: My Own design
Cardigan: MNG
Peeptoes: Tony Bianco
Bag: Mum’s
Bauble bracelet + Bangles: Gifted
Belt: Mum’s
Glasses: Bargain store
Headband flower: My own design
Day 2. Blue, ahhh this was a fun one, I have a few blue garments but I had to make sure they didn’t clash. The blazer is also a very un-worn item, due to the fact it creases far to easily for my liking and it’s a bit small but I had no hesitation wearing it for this.
Blazer: Emerge
Top: Lovelygirl
Skirt: My own design
Bag: Prada
Scarf: Borrowed (there are Hs all over it but I don’t know if it’s Hermes)
Shoes: Christian Louboutins
Watch: Online
Day 3. Gray, well, I wasn’t going to do gray since it’s something I do accidentally from time to time anyway but the weather was a bit :S and I found this dress which I made a while ago and haven’t worn! I couldn’t help but add a tiny splash of colour with the watch (ok, fine you got me, I wouldn’t do that, I wore gray nail polish just for a day for this! But this was the only watch I could get while in a rush that day)
Dress: My own design
Jacket: Borrowed
Necklace: Gift
Watch: Ebay
Tights: Ambra
Shoes: RMK
Day 4. Green, I saved green for today because it was perfect for a tea party! And also this is one of my all time favourite dresses -probably because it was the first lined dress I made and I drafted up the pattern all by my 14 year old self-.
Dress: My own design
Cardigan: Capture
Shoes: Sogui Eli Giorgia
Bag: Vintage
Scarf: Borrowed
Headband: My own design
Ring: My own design
Watches and bangles: Online
Hope I’ve inspired you to try this sometime too!
